The Potsdam Conference - whose main agenda was the new scheme of Europe - took place at the Cecilienhof Manor in the Berlin suburb Potsdam between July 17 and August 2, 1945. The manor had served as residence of the former German crown prince, Wilhelm (1882–1951), until January 1945, at which point he, fearing the advancing Soviet troops, chose to flee to Western Germany.
This is an original b/w press photograph from 1945, which shows significant signs of handling. Corners with numerous pin-holes. Two upper corners have yellowed severely. Yellowed back with discolouration. Upper right corner with acid-free reinforcement of recent date.
