An officers dagger mounted in gilded brass with a birds head pommel, a smooth ebony grip, a c 22,8 cm long double edged nickel plated blade in a gilded brass scabbard marked C. L. E. 1811 1891. The leather cartridge pouch has the brass emblem of the British Corps of Commissionaires on the front.

The dagger is missing a part of the quillion. The cartridge pouch with damaged stitching.
