During Roosevelt's last meeting with the US Congress, the ailing president briefed members on the outcome of the recent Yalta Conference (February 4–11, 1945), the purpose of which was to coordinate the Americans, Russians and British in their decisive struck against the Third Reich. Just over a month later, on April 12, President Roosevelt died at his vacation home 'Little White House' in Warm Springs, Georgia.
