The Potsdam Conference - whose main theme was the reordering of Europe after WWII - took place at Cecilienhof Palace in the Berlin suburb of Potsdam between July 17 and August 2, 1945. Until January 1945, the palace had been the residence of former German Crown Prince Wilhelm (1882–1951). 'The Little Three' was the informal term for the foreign ministers of the United States, Great Britain and the Soviet Union, while the heads of state of the three great powers were called 'The Big Three'.
