A diamond solitaire ring set with an old-cut diamond weighing app. 1.60 ct., mounted in 18k white gold. Size 54.5. Circa 1970.
Provenance: Ambassador and consul general G. F. K. Harhoff and spouse (neè Baroness Moltke) were close acquaintances of Barbara Hutton, during Harhoff's time as ambassador in New York in the 1970s. Harhoff assisted Barbara Hutton amongst other things with legal advice, and for one of these services he received this diamond.
