Bertha Schrader was a German painter born in the former Prussia. She began studying art in Dresden as a student of the neo-impressionist painter Paul Baum (1859–1932). From there she continued her education as a student of the painter of architecture and landscapes, Paul Graeb (1816–1884).
Schrader is best known for her neo-impressionistic paintings, while the present work is more realistic in style.
Minimal peeling and along edge retouches and minimal naolholes.
