Emil Hannover, A Catalogue Raisonné of the Works of Constantin Hansen no. 141. The lying dog can be seen in Constantin Hansen's “Parti af Poseidon/Neptun-templet i Pæstum” (View of the Poseidon/Neptune temple in Paestum). The dog is lying next to a little boy playing the flute. That painting reproduced in Thorvaldsens Museum's exhibition catalogue, “Constantin Hansen”, 1991 p. 189.
