The Saturn V rockets - the largest in the Saturn family - were developed under the leadership of the German born scientist Dr. Wernher von Braun, who had been in charge of Hitler's rocket program in Peenemünde in Northern Germany during World War II. His most famous creations were the V1 and V2 rockets.
This is an original black-and-white photograph from ca. 1973, which shows normal signs of age and handling.
