Esbjørn Hiort (b. 1912, d. 1992)
A pair of slatted, reclining armchairs of solid mahogany, fittings of brass. Loose cushions upholstered with dark green wool. Designed and made 1938–39 by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder. (2)
Provenance: Esbjørn Hiort, hence by descent in the family. The pair of chairs were designed and made for Hiort's own wedding.
