A Greenlandic wood figure of a woman with a child on her back, she stands with bend legs and stretched arms, with remains of black colour on hair and clothes. East Greenland, 20th century's first half. H. 15 cm.

Provenance: Ib Geertsen collection. Ib Geertsen, 1919–2009, was a Danish painter and sculptor. He also collected Greenlandic crafts and wrote about Greenlandic masks.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. Repaired at the calfs. Repair on hair bun.
