A Chinese gilt copper alloy figure of Ushnishavijaya, seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne, with three faces and four set of arms, the main pair are placed in front of chest, all hands in various mudra positions and hold now missing items, dressed in a finely pleated dhoti and scarf and adorned with jewellery and crown. The lotus throne supported by an unusual border of lined (likely) triratana symbols. Not sealed. With wooden stand. Yuan/Early Ming, 14th-15th century. Weight 545 g. H. 12 cm.

Provenance: J. P. Islef, accounting officer at Store Nordiske Telegrafselskab, stationed in China from c. 1898 to shortly before World War II.
