Viggo Johansen taught at Kunstakademiets Kunstskole for Kvinder, (The Academy of Fine Arts' School of Art for Women) where the artist Johanne (1848–1924) to whom the present painting is dedicated was employed as inspector from 1888 to 1908.
Provenance: In the family of Johanne Krebs until today.
A few minimal peelings along with superficial scratches. A cleaning is recommended.
