A set of seven Danish silver plates, fluted and lobed border, dish rim engraved with the coat of arms of the Næser family. A. Michelsen, Copenhagen 1878, 1879 and 1880. All pieces engraved on the base with weight and number. Weight in total 3,836 g. Diam. 25.5 cm. Furthermore a pair of silver sauce bowls, gilt interior, of three-sided form, spiral-fluted body, fluted and lobed border, saucer engraved with the coat of arms of the Næser family. A. Provenance: Captain Albert Næser (1841–1913) and his wife, Hedevig Carla Næster, née Berling (1856–1923). Thence by descent to their granddaughter until today. Albert Næser was a well-respected officer and lived with his wife in Lindencrone House, Bredgade 26 in Copenhagen. He also had an interest in art and e.g. patron for the marine painter Christian Mølsted, who painted large maritime murals in the couples' dining room. Hedevig Næser was daughter of newspaper publisher Carl Berling from Berlingske Tidende.
