In 1967, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. briefly considered running for US president. What ignited him were images of American napalm attacks during the Vietnam War. ‘Never again will I be silent on an issue that is destroying the soul of our nation and destroying thousands of little children in Vietnam,’ he said. On April 4, 1968, he was murdered.
