The original from c. 1665–1670, on which this painting is based, is located at the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK), inventory number KMSsp508.
Provenance: Gavnø Manor, inventory number 1112. Bruun Rasmussen auction 476, 1985 no. 379.
The canvas is relined. Numerous small crackles. Some minor peelings. Minor retouches. In need of cleaning.
