Portrait of Lorenz Wivet (1759–1808), Dr. Med. and author, son of Johanne Margrethe Wivet and Frederik Wilhelm Wivet, married to Birgitte Sophie Melchior. Unsigned. Inscribed “Malet d. 27. Sept. 1799” (Painted on the 27th of Sept. 1799). Oil on canvas laid on panel. Oval. 73×60 cm.

Both portraits have undergone restoration work in 1970. Both portraits: The canvas is relined. In need of cleaning. Minimal retouches. Minor crackles. Marks from the stretcher visible on the front.
