Provenance: A present from the painter to district revenue officer (amtsforvalter) Alexander Wilde (1910).
As a young and poor painter L. A. Ring became a friend of the lawyer Alexander Wilde and his wife Johanne. Unfortunately he fell in love with Johanne. The Wilde family moved to Randers where A. Wilde got a new job and was engaged in establishing Randers Art Museum. L. A. Ring was very frustrated when they moved.
Minor crackles. A few pinholes in corners and a few minor areas with thinner paint layers.
