Robert Jacobsen (b. Copenhagen 1912, d. Egtved 1993)

“Ami fidèle” (Faithful Friend), 1949. Unsigned. Iron. H. 75 cm. On a base of marble.

Robert Jacobsen gave the sculpture to Jean Dewasne out of friendship during their collaboration of several months in Denmark in 1949, which explains the title of the work: “Ami fidèle”.
