Jakob Tolstrup (b. 1983)
“Two faced totem”, 2020. Unique painted and modified kokeshi-figure. H. 60 cm.
“The thought behind the piece was to break with its original shape and give it a tangible and 3-dimensional human characteristic which again is broken by the painted terrazzo texture”.
About the artist: Danish Jakob Tolstrup started as a graffiti artist but has since developed a multifaceted approach and has worked as an illustrator, a film director and even as an actor. His work is best described as a mix of political satire and melancholy.
No remarks.
All proceeds from the sale will go to Dansk Flygtningehjælp’s relief work. Bruun Rasmussen will not charge a buyer’s premium or seller’s fee in connection with the auction and the buyer's fee will be credited on the invoice.
