A British? brass mounted military blunderbuss c 1775 with an iron barrel. The butt has a high comb and is deeply marked NW and AR 5512, the escutcheon is marked N.G. the large lock is unsigned and is held by two screws on an S-turned side plate, the barrel is c 35,5 cm long in calibre c 37 mm stamped with faint marks above the powder chamber.
Condition
All iron spotted and the lock rust marked. Chivers of wood is missing on both sides of the fore stock.
