Hokusai: (1760–1849) A six-leaved Japanese screen depicting different scenes of rice planting. Sowing, Watering, Protecting the fields against birds by the help of a net, Harvesting and Packing. The horisontal skylike stripes separates the scenes into different seasons of the year. Painted on paper in faint colours. Signed and stamped Hokusai 1804–1817. Each 108 x 50 cm. Original box.
