A George III music striking clock, ebony and black painted case adorned with silvered openwork ornaments, gilt brass dial with gilt bronze ornaments, silvered dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, movement with hour striking, repeat pull and calendar, strike-silent to the arch, the back richly engraved with foliage ornaments. Signed 'W. Tourdain, London'. England, mid-18th century. H. 50 cm. W. 26 cm. D. 17.5 cm.
