CHURCHILL THEME
Winston Churchill, who was no longer a young man when he was appointed British Prime Minister on May 10, 1940, worked 16 hours a day as a rule between 1940 and 1945, sometimes at his desk, sometimes in bed - and sometimes on planes or trains, as this photograph illustrates.
This is an original b/w silver gelatin press photograph from 1941, which appears with surface scratches and small marks. Backside telegram has yellowed severely and is stained. Furthermore, normal signs of handling.
