Baroque cutlery, comprising knife and fork, inner silver-gilt shaft, outer partiel silver-gilt pierced handle, chased and cast with allegorical motifs and person sceneries, both terminals originally in the form of two kissing birds, metal knife blade and teeth. Both pricked with owners' initials and year “Ew. M. Ao. J. A. Bb. 1784”. Apparently unmarked. 18th century. Weight incl. metal parts 86 g. L. 16 cm. and 19 cm. (2)
Based on the two initials with the year and the allegories, it is possibly a wedding cutlery.
Wear due to age and use in varying degrees, incl. a broken-missing terminal, loose mounted blade in the handle, metal parts with spots.
