“The Graduate” is a romantic drama from 1967 instructed by Mike Nichols and based upon a novel by Charles Webb. The film depicts the young college graduate Ben Braddock - Dustin Hoffman - who has a hard time deciding what to do about his future. He is being seduced by the mature Mrs. Robinson, played by Anne Bancroft (1931–2005), and at the same time he falls in love with her daughter, Elaine. The latter is portrayed by Katharine Ross (b. 1940).
