N. P. Holbech (b. Atlantic Ocean 1804, d. Karlshamn 1889)

A pair of portraits of lieutenant Wilhelm Conrad Crone and hustru Anna Amalia Hansine Dorothea Crone. Unsigned. Inscribed on the reverse (in Danish), he: painted by portrait painter Holbech Anno 1857 (April), she: painted by portrait painter Holbech Anno 1859 (August, Oil on canvas laid cardboard. 37×31 cm each. (2).

Both with crackles. One with a few minimal peelings and pressure mark from the stretcher. Both in need of a light surface cleaning.
