Feodor Vasilievich Sychkov (b. Kochelaevo 1870, d. Saransk 1958)

Country life in a Russian village at wintertime. In the foreground happy Russian girls with colourful headscarfs and shawls, to the right children at a sledge and in the background an accordion-playing Russian followed by three peasants. Signed and dated F. Sychkov 1934 (in Cyrillic). Oil on canvas. 73×103 cm.

Provenance: Acquired by the Danish seller's mother 27 October 1975 at Stuer Lauridsen Auction Company in Rødovre outside Copenhagen. It was sold for DKK 2,700.
