Ships portrait of the schooner “Albertha of Marstal” led by Capt. F. Kromann. Pen, watercolor and gouache. Signed R. Chappel. 36×54 cm.

Skonnerten blev bygget 1901 i Marstal og sænket af tysk ubåd i Atlanterhavet, 15. august 1917, på rejse fra Liverpool til København, besætningen blev reddet.

Condition

The paper has turned slightly brown.
