The Danish supermarket chain Irma and the furniture company FDB Møbler have joined forces with Bruun Rasmussen to auction off a set of unique children’s furniture.

All of the proceeds from the sale of the unique children's furniture pieces will go to Mødrehjælpens julehjælp. The furniture, originally designed by Børge Mogensen, has been individually decorated by the artist HuskMitNavn in 2018.

“We think that Irma and FDB Møbler came up with a great idea: To decorate some iconic pieces of children’s furniture, sell them at auction and donate all the proceeds to our partner, Mødrehjælpen,” explains Irma director Søren Steffensen.

“For FDB Møbler, it’s about combining classic design with a contemporary, modern look. The combination of Børge Mogensen and HuskMitNavn is truly unique,” says Ole Kiel, director of FDB Møbler.

“I’m delighted to support the work of Mødrehjælpen with the sale of Irma’s Børge Morgensen furniture. Christmas, in particular, is a time when a lot of people need an extra helping hand to make ends meet,” says the artist HuskMitNavn.

“Bruun Rasmussen is a company where traditions mean something. There is no tradition greater than Christmas, I suppose, so we’re more than happy to help others feel a little extra warmth in the festive season,” says Alexa Bruun Rasmussen.

It is Irma's hope that a company wants to support Mødrehjælpen by bidding on the furniture - and maybe even donate the set to an organization or a hospital where the children can enjoy the furniture.

The entire proceeds of the auction will go to Mødrehjælpen. FDB Møbler has donated the children’s furniture, and Bruun Rasmussen will be selling it at auction without charging any commission.
