Back with agency stamp, handwritten notes, and stamped date of newspaper publication (April 19, 1955; obituary). Black lacquered and patinated wooden frame with double glass. Visible size 14×10 cm. Albert Einstein is without comparison the most famous scientist in world history, whose legacy is due not least to the ‘special theory of relativity’ and the ‘general theory of relativity’, which he presented in 1905 and 1915, respectively. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921. From 1933 until his death in 1955, Albert Einstein lived in Princeton, New Jersey.

Condition

This is an original black-and-white silver gelatin press or portrait photograph from 1955, which shows fine surface scratches and a few surface pressure marks. Furthermore, normal signs of handling.
