“The Flag Halyard Chair”. Easy chair with original green lacquered steel frame with wooden “shoes”. Chromed steel top with flag halyard. Later white sheepskin included. Model GE 225. Designed 1950. This example manufactured 1950s by Getama, Gedsted.

Model presented at The Arts & Crafts Spring Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark in 1950.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. Minor marks and scratches on under-frame. Rust stains and rings on top frame. Original flagline shortened at the front. Neck cushion missing. Newer lambskin. Original wooden shoes in good condition.
