A horse's head. On the reverse a model. Signature and date partly obscured by the frame edge. Oil on canvas laid on board. Oval. Visible size 46×38 cm.

Gustav Adolph Friedrich was the son of the famous German landscape painter, Caspar David Friedrich (1774–1840).

Condition

A few retouches on both canvasses. Crackles on the reverse. Examined in frame.
