A Danish table clock in a later mahogany case, dial of gilt brass with openwork corner ornamentation of gilt bronze, gilded chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, movement with repetition. Plaque signed. Peter Matthiesen, Copenhagen. 18th century. H. 35 cm. W. 24 cm. D. 14.5 cm.
Peter Mathiesen was master of a guild 1696–1768 in Copenhagen.
