Ian McKellen started his acting career in 1961 and during the last six decades he has had numerous roles and has received all important British acting prizes. Most people associate him with the Gandalf character and thereby with movies, yet he himself has declared that his true love is the theatre, not the screen. His latest role depicts the impostor Roy Courtnay in “The Good Liar” (2019), where he faces Helen Mirren.
