German painter, mid 19th century

A pair of portraits of a married couple. One signed and dated Lüders 1841 and inscribed “Um 45 Jahre” on the reverse. The other inscribed Sophie [Röhleke] geb. [?] malt 1846 on the stretcher. Oil on paper laid on canvas. Each 29.5×22.5 cm. (2).

Both with crackles and peelings of varying degrees. In need of cleaning.
