The Imperial Porcelain Factory, c. 1820-1825

A Russian topographical porcelain plate, decorated in colours and gold on white ground, centrally a motif from a fortress in Pavlovsk with the Imperial Russian standard weighing in the wind. Unmarked but titled on the reverse in Cyrillic “The Sight of a Fortress in Pavlovsk City”. The Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg, c. 1820–1825, during the reign of Tsar Alexander I of Russia (1801–1825). Diam. 23.5 cm.

Condition

We have noticed worn gilding and fiiring spots on the front and reverse.
