Finn Juhl (b. Frederiksberg 1912, d. Ordrup 1989)
Rare, sculptural wall-mounted sofa. Frame not included. Seat upholstered with original blue striped fabric, back with original light wool. Designed 1950. Made 1950 by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder. L. approx. 190 cm.

This sofa was presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition in 1950. The model was later included in the interior Finn Juhl arranged for the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim in 1952 and in the exhibtion “Fremtidens Bolig” - “Home of the future” in 1954. Few examples are known in different lengths, made by special orders for very few private interiors. The 192 cm long sofa was put into production by House of Finn Juhl as “The Wall Sofa”, model FJ 5000.
