Eduard Ivanonovich Kortman (, St. Petersburg 1904-1908)

A set of six Russian 14k gold buttons, decorated with translucent white enamel on guilloched ground. Workmaster Eduard Ivanovich Kortman, assayer Alexander Vasilievich Romanov in St. Petersburg 1904–1908, 56 standard, scratched inventory no. 6162. Diam. 1.3 cm. Genuine gold clips enclosed, placed beneath the buttons in original fitted Fabergé box. (14).

Eduard Ivanonovich Kortman produced jewellery for the Imperial Russian Court and was a supplier to Fabergé.

Condition

The Russian gold buttons are in very good condition. We have noticed:

- One button with one minimal enamel irregularity along the edge (below the enamel) - One button with two minimal enamel irregularities along the edge (below the enamel) - One button with three minimal enamel irregularities along the edge (below the enamel)

Five out of six clips are marked (but the unmarked clip seems to be original/contemporary).

All buttons marked.
