I. P. Møller exhibited for the first time in 1807 at Charlottenborg a painting with the title “Udsigt fra Charlottenlund. Komposition” (View From Charlottenborg. Composition).
The German-born carpenter Didrik Schäffer (1730–1778), known for the Rococo interior in Moltke's palace at Amalienborg, built in 1755 the large main building of Schæffergården in Rococo style. The site is today owned by Fondet for Dansk-Norsk Samarbejde (the Danish-Norwegian Foundation for co-operation) and is used for meetings and conferences.
