Frederik Visby (b. Tikøb 1839, d. Risskov 1926)

Frederick Visby was a pupil of Niels Simonsen at the academy. He participated as an artist in the Second Schleswig War of 1864, and the year after he travelled to the Danish Virgin Islands and across USA and Central America San Francisco. Back in Denmark again he became a dentist for around 1880 to return to the Danish Virgin Islands again.

Condition

Minimal retouches. A single repair on the left side and a minimal retouched rift ca 5 mm in the left lower corner.
