Variant with different combination of wood of the series presented at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark, 1951.

In 1951 Finn Juhl developed for the American manufacturer Baker Furniture a range of furniture including a series of wall units. The wall units were characterized by use of a combination of dark wood and blonde wood for contrast. Another feature was the raised edge at the back of the top. The prototypes were made by Cabinetmaker Niels Vodder in Denmark and presented at the Cabinetmakers Guilds´ Exhibition the same year. Niels Vodder continued to make a few wall units after that. The present piece belongs to those examples of wallunits in handcrafted quality.
