A Chinese Peking carpet. A highly decorative design with an open blue field sparingly decorated with bird motifs and flower vines. Fine shiny wool. Early 20th century. 416×308 cm.

Taking the age in consideration the condition is fairly good. The carpet appears complete, original and rather clean, Worn/short fringes(not secured at ends). The carpet has a minor chip at one edge(see image) and 15–20 cm of folding wear along one edge(see image). The carpet has medium to full pile and no signs of wear besides one area(app. 15×15cm) with partly missing pile at one ornament(see image), this can easily restored for a minimum amount of money. Along one end is some well done old repairs(slightly visible to a professional). All remarks are documented at the attached images.
