A large Timurid cuerda seca pottery tile decorated in blue, turquoise, white, aubergine and gold with flowers and design. Iran, 15th century. C. 33×32 cm.

Provenance: Antiquarian Gerda Petri (1934–2020), former curator, The Royal Danish Collection, Copenhagen.

Condition

Nicks and chipped all over. one corner repaired, however with a piece not belonging to the tile. traces of gold, cracks in the glaze, some restauration.
