The Danish artist Pernille Braun (b. 1978) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sculpting with glass for more than two decades, Braun has participated in many exhibitions internationally and has had solo exhibitions in France, USA, Belgium, and Denmark. In her work, Braun investigates aspects of time, place, and matter, which with great craftsmanship she explores in the medium of glass. She studied at the The Royal Danish Academy of Art Bornholm and gained a MA from the Royal College of Art in London. Her work can among others be found in the public collections of Victoria and Albert Museum, London, The Danish Art Foundation, Musee Ariana, Genève, Galila's P.O.C. Brussels, Bornholm Art Museum, Denmark, and Design Museum Denmark. Represented at Albert Contemporary.

The work is part of a charity auction to benefit “Børns Vilkår” (Children's Rights Denmark). The auction is initiated and curated by “Curated by Jens-Peter Brask”. The artists have generously donated their works. Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers do not charge fees or commission so the total proceeds will go undiminished to Børns Vilkår's important work.
