The 1950s “Coquilles” series of art glass by Paul Kedelv appears today as one of the most flamboyant and characteristic of the period. Almost like a cliché of 1950s retro, several models were given names that contributed to their popularity. Peculiarly, “Coquilles” glass were some of the first pieces of Swedish art glass to be rediscovered, and in the early 1980s they were in high demand, especially in France.
Patina due to age, including surface scratches and marks. Sculpture with pink, black and green glass with some chips on the bottom of base. A few deep scratches. Sculpture with purple glass with chip on the bottom edge (approx. 0.5 cm).
