The French artist Edmund Dulac is one of the five major Golden Age gift book illustrators (together with Arthur Rackham, Charles and Heath Robinson and Danish artist Kay Nielsen (1886–1957) ). He was influenced by the styles of Beardsley, Burne-Jones and the Japanese art.
