Niels Eukarius Frantzen (b. c. 1819, d. 1897, Danish ship portrait painter in Nyborg)

A ship's portrait of the yacht “Nautilus”, 1876. Signed Frantzen. Pencil, watercolour, and gouache on paper. Visible size 44.5×66.5 cm.

It is presumed that two of the passengers on board the yacht are count Moltke-Hvitfeld and his wife.

Condition

A few retouches. The paper has turned slightly brown. Some discolourations and damp stains. Examined in frame.
