A pair of English lacquered jardiniéres, made up from various elements, decorated all over with chinoiserie, the hemispherical tops on turned stems, stirrups and bases on ball feet. Early 20th century. H. 85 cm. Diam 60 cm. (2)
The jardiniéres were bought at Stair & Co., 59 East 57th Street, New York.
Provenance: Avening Court, Gloucestershire.
Condition
Marks and scratches. Wear. The wine coolers/ jardinieres are both in good stable condition.
Normale wear due to age.
There are peeled paint and cracks on the curved side and on the bottom rail. The inner brass vessels are both intact.
There are no lids and no traces after lids.
