Unknown Chinese artist, 17/18th century
A Chinese scroll depicting a wide variety of birds including, peacocks, hawks, cranes flying or perched in landscape. Indistinct seal mark and inscription. Watercolour on paper. 186×90 cm.
Provenance: Andreas Hansen Eriksen 1869–1953. He was stationed for GN Store Nord in Shanghai as telegraphist in 1897 and as Manager in 1901–1913. Thereafter he served the Chinese administration until 1927.
