Two Danish officers sabres - one in its scabbard. The first lion hilted c 1800–20 with a c 82 cm long blade marked WILHELM TESCHE PETERS SOHN IN SOLINGEN on the spine in a wooden scabbard with three brass mount covered in black leatehr. The second possibly Danish c 1830–40 iron mounted with a grip in smooth ebony and a c 74 cm long curved single edged blade with a broad fuller on each side.
Wilhelm Tesche, son of Peter of Solingen is listed in Hamburg from 1778 – 1801.
The first proably rehilted with spotted iron and repaired hand guard. The second with spotted iron and the blade somewhat rust marked towards the point.
